Sanchez was not at his best, but there were little kids dancing, and Maggie filmed the whole performance, we did one 'parade' as we often do during the song 'The Ship That Can't keep Up' this is where Hustle really shines as our parade leader, but Sanchez actually picked up his upright bass and marched with us, through the bar and back to the stage. That was an energetic feat, which he may have come to regret later, but in the moment, the room really lit up.
Banjo rolls are very rhythmic, and there were a few bits where our rhythm ..... got loose....
We ended with the Johnny Cash song, 25 minutes to go, Sanchez calls our version 'Inevitable Demise')
and as always it ends on the bell from Skot's washboard. We usually yell 'Order UP!' .......because Skot is a chef.
So we ended early but Mick stood up and sang "The Parting Glass": a cappella
then there was an electric jam band, and I'm sure they were more than happy to take up the extra time
I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, Samhain, etc
as always, thanks for finding me here and thanks for reading.
