As Benjie studies the map of Pelangi, he realizes that the spots Sinag showed him would be destroyed when the construction starts. Before he can deal with his nagging conscience, he gets a call from Catalina who informs him that they were heading to Pelangi to meet with important people and Don Vicente wants him to personally give him a report on their acquisitions when they get there. And Benjie feels stuck between a rock and a hard place.

At Bahay Obispo, Teddy attempts to sculpt again. His injured arm reminds him of the accident years ago and the man who saved him. And that’s how Sally finds him. To deal with his pain, he goes out to look for drinking buddies (cuz liquor is a viable anesthesia to pain, the emotional kind).

Sinag tries to buy load from Ninay so she can reply to Benjie’s text, only to find out that not only has Ninay stopped her cellphone loading business, she is also thinking about selling her property as well. With most of the townsfolk choosing to sell and leave, she has run out of costumers causing her sari-sari store to become bankrupt. This intensifies Sinag’s vexation towards Rosales Development.

Don Vicente and Catalina have arrived at the Mayor’s house, meeting for the groundbreaking event scheduled for the next day. For some reason, Marjorie is there as well (it’s like Ivanka trump being included in an official meeting with world leaders, only the first daughter actually has class). Since it was a big official event, Don Vicente wanted Benjie to also be there.  And while they have a toast, Benjie is starting to be engulfed by his guilt.

Teddy returns home from a chat with other landowners who have decided to not sell their land and shares to his family that the Rosales Development was holding a groundbreaking ceremony the next day at Barangay Tanawan, a town nearby. Teddy tells his family that they will be holding a protest action during the ceremony.

Random thoughts:

* Alden and Maine eating with their hands is soooo cute! He’s like a five year old eating with his mommy Meng.

* Sinag was wearing boots when they were talking to Ka Henry then ends up with flipflops when they leave his place.

* Awww…wook at the adorable yet guilty looking payb year old.

* Benjie’s cheesy lines would’ve been swoon worthy if only we are not aware of his schemes.

* Here’s another thing that’s supper irritating about Marjorie’s character: she’s trying too hard, it’s painful to watch and listen to.

* I have a theorized backstory about Marjorie and why she hates Sinag: they used to be friends when they were kids. Since she was the only daughter of the corrupt mayor, no one wanted to be friends with her. Only Sinag and the gang befriended her. Sinag had everything she wanted (a loving family, loyal and genuine friends, a bright personality) and she could not accept that (she’s the richest girl in town yet she was jealous of a poor girl). So her envy turned to hate. And she has hated her since then. She wants Sinag and the Obispos gone because they remind her of her sad and lonely childhood. The end.

* The fact that the mean girl is siding and rooting for you should be enough to make one ashamed of himself.

* ARGHHH! Stop giving us that wounded puppy look Alden. I’m supposed to be hating Benjie with a passion. You’re making this hard for me.

* OH MY GOSH! Benjie just gifted Sinag Maine’s doc Marten boots (which she wore during the Dabarkads pa more grand finals).

* Sinag’s hair is so gorgeous, I wanna slide my fingers through her tresses.

* He placed Christmas lights around an aviary. Owkaaaay…sure it’s romantic but aren’t the birds unnecessarily disturbed?

* Maine and Alden look like a happily married couple on their reception. Look at A's grasp.

* The camera work really hurts my eyes.

* Maine’s waist is so small and Alden’s hands are so large.

* YASSSS!!! Catalina is here and she’s slaying as usual.

In conclusion

Alden and Maine are superb actors and they were effective in delivering the right emotions without being “in-your-face” about it. It’s the subtle changes in their facial expression, their gazes, their smiles, their stance. It’s really fascinating. And as you stare at them stare at each other, you forget that this is Benjie and Sinag onscreen (a scheming jerk and her naïve victim). Although to be fair, Benjie is getting bothered by his conscience.

Next episode, we’ll find out if Benjie’s true identity will be revealed to the Obispos during the groundbreaking ceremony-rally.
